The I.B.M. lab employs modern molecular biology tools, such as tissue-specific and inducible gene ablation, RT-PCR-RealTime, and Western Blot to understand the molecular mechanisms of organogenesis, maturation, and physiology of the endocrine pancreas. Also, using in vivo approaches, we study Metabolism in healthy and pathological conditions, such as diabetes, obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome.
